Computed tomographyComputed tomography (CT) is a specialised X-ray examination of the brain. Cerebral (brain) structures and any changes to the brain can be seen once the images have been processed using computer techniques. The radiation involved is approximately equivalent to that of other X-ray examinations such as a chest X-ray. Computed tomography is useful for doctors trying to rule out a case of MS or exclude other possible causes of symptoms. |
