Be informed. Take action

Being diagnosed with MS can come as a shock, and confirmation of a diagnosis can be accompanied by feelings of helplessness, anger and confusion. These feelings are perfectly normal. It is important to remember however, that having MS does not mean that you can’t continue to lead a normal life, although it may take some time to accept the illness and adapt to living with MS.

Knowledge about the disease, and how it will affect different aspects of your life, is a great starting point in coming to terms with MS. In this section of the site we look at how MS might affect you and what measures you can take to address these issues.
